Welcome!
This website serves as my culminating portfolio for a Master of Educational Technology from Boise State University. On this site, I have collected artifacts I created while enrolled in the program that demonstrate my mastery of AECT standards as well as reflections on my professional growth as a result of this degree.
About Me
I received a Bachelor of Science in physics from Valparaiso University in 2005, then pursued a secondary teaching license through Winona State University. Since 2009, I have been teaching science at Tartan High School in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. While my primary responsibility is teaching various levels of physics, I am also a member of Tartan's AVID site team and serve as the high school science curriculum chair.
I enrolled in Boise State's MET program in order to make technology more effective in my classroom and to develop the skills and knowledge to support other teachers in their technology integration efforts. In addition to meeting these goals, my work in the MET program has contributed to my work around STEM integration in my district's high school science curriculum and supported my efforts to emphasize student-centered pedagogies in my classroom.
